You can now register your eVisa

On 6 Aug, the Home Office updated the online immigration status (eVisa) guidance.

If you have a biometric residence permit (BRP) that expires on 31 December 2024, you can now create a UKVI account and access your eVisa without prior invitation from the Home Office. You should also do this before your BRP expires.

You can use your BRP, current or expired (if within the last 12  months), or  passport, or your visa application reference number to create a UKVI account.

If you cannot see your eVisa details as soon as you create your UKVI account, there is nothing you need to do. The UKVI will contact you directly by email once your eVisa is available to view. You can use your BRP to prove your immigration status until your eVisa details are available.

The registration might take few days to be processed.

The Home Office has also released official videos explaining how to register a UKVI account, and access and travel with an eVisa.
